Drugs and weapons seized in the south-east

Two men will face court following the seizure of drugs and weapons at Lucindale and Kingston SE last week.

On Thursday 8 May, Limestone Coast Police working alongside Police Dog Operations Unit attended an address at Kingston SE to conduct a search of the premises. During the search police located a trafficable amount of cannabis and other drug paraphernalia. As a result, a 59-year-old Kingston SE man was reported for trafficking a controlled drug. He will be summoned to appear in court at a later date.

Then on Friday 9 May, Limestone Coast police and Dog Operations Unit attended a Lucindale home to conduct a search. As a result of the search, police located a trafficable amount of methamphetamine, a small amount of cannabis and other drug paraphernalia.

Officers also located two double edge knives, an extendable baton and a butterfly knife.

A 40-year-old Lucindale male was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug and possession of prohibited weapons. He was bailed to appear in Naracoorte Magistrates Court on the 18 June.
