Fatal crash near Strathalbyn

Just before 12.30pm on Monday 3 August, emergency services were called to Alexandrina Road, Sandergrove, after a van and a truck towing a trailer collided head-on.

The driver and sole occupant of the van, a 45-year-old Hindmarsh Island man, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 61-year-old Murray Bridge man, was not physically injured.

Alexandrina Road was closed while Major Crash Investigators examined the scene, but has now reopened.
