Two men assaulted at Lobethal

Police are investigating an assault at Lobethal this afternoon.

At3.20pm Thursday 22 May emergency services were called to Main Street after reports two men had been stabbed by a person known to them.

When police arrived, they located two men with stab wounds,one with a wound to his leg and the second victim with a wound to his back.

Both were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 36-year-old man from Timor was arrested at the scene and was also taken to hospital for minor injuries.

He has been charged with two counts of assault cause harm. He has been refused bail and will appear before the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on Friday 23 May.

There is no threat to the public with all parties known to each other.
