Multiple vehicle collision at Salisbury Plain

Three people have been injured in a crash involving several vehicles in the northern suburbs tonight.

About 7.30pm on Friday 19 June, police and emergency crews responded to reports of a collision involving a Ford sedan, a Volkswagen sedan and a Mercedes Benz van at the intersection of Main North Road and The Grove Way, Salisbury Plain.

A light pole was also brought down during the crash.

The Ford driver, a 23-year-old Hewett man, and his passenger, a 23-year-old Craigmore woman, and the driver of the VW, an 17-year-old Hillbank woman, were all taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Mercedes Benz, a 51-year-old Greenwith man, was not injured.

All vehicles were towed from the scene.

Northbound traffic was restricted but the road has reopened.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
