Police investigate affray in far north

About 10.50am on Sunday 12 July, police responded to reports of a large group of people fighting at Pukatja (Ernabella) on the APY Lands.

A 59-year-old man believed to be involved in the altercation sought medical attention at the town clinic.

While receiving treatment, he subsequently died.

Police are investigating if the man’s death was as a result of a medical episode.

Far North police continue to investigate the incident and remain at the scene to speak with people involved and engage with community members.
