Last week, Acting Sergeant Gray, along with Probationary Constable Steer, Cadet Price, and Cadet Bates, visited St Joseph's School in Port Lincoln to speak with students about pursuing a career as a police officer.
While these young students are still some years away from considering a career in law enforcement, this visit provided a valuable opportunity for SA Police to engage and build connections with the children early on.
Acting Sergeant Gray said “Establishing these relationships within the community is crucial for offering children diverse options for their future”
These school visits, held during careers week, enable SA Police to connect with the community and inspire the next generation of police officers. Cadet Price, a former student of St Joseph's, was warmly welcomed back by the staff, who were delighted to see him participating in the career’s week activities with the kids.
SA Police remain committed to fostering positive relationships and encouraging young people to consider a future in law enforcement.
