High range drink driver Streaky Bay

A man has been arrested for drink driving at Streaky Bay yesterday.

Shortly after midday on Tuesday 7 May, Streaky Bay Police stopped a car on Wells Street. Checks on the driver of the vehicle showed that his licence was currently disqualified.

Police subjected the driver to a breath test and he allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.295, almost six times the legal limit for a fully licensed driver.

A 51-year-old man local man was reported for drink driving and driving while disqualified. The man’s car was also impounded for 28 days. He bailed to appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court on 20 May.
