Three cars stolen during Kensington Gardens break-in

Police are investigating two break-ins and thefts in the eastern suburbs where cars were stolen.

About 3.30am on Wednesday 23 April, a group of suspects broke into a house in Fort Avenue, Kensington Gardens and stole keys to three vehicles, along with a laptop computer and other items.

The victims who were at home at the time were not confronted by the intruders.

Two blue Subaru Crosstrek SUVs (XE490G & S951DAE) and a white Mazda MX5 (XD533M) were stolen from the property.

The laptop bag was later found in Elizabeth Street in Prospect.

In a separate incident, about 5.30am a white Volkswagen panel van was stolen from a house in Sixth Avenue, St. Peters.

The van has a registration number of S024ANC.

Police are trying to determine if the two incidents are linked.
