A man has lost his licence for a year after he was caught driving under the influence at Magill.
About 5.15pm today (Thursday 22 October), police were called to a hotel on Magill Road after reports that a man who appeared to be intoxicated was about to drive away from the premises.
Police stopped the Smart sedan nearby and breath tested the driver.
He returned a very high roadside breath test reading and was taken to the Norwood Police Station for a second breath analysis test.
The 46-year-old Norwood man failed to comply with the secondary test and was reported for failing to comply with a breath analysis test and driving under the influence.
He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and his car was impounded for 28 days.
The man will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
