1 Oct 2026 4:01pm

Police are investigating a crash in Adelaide and are seeking public assistance to identify the driver.

About 6.20pm on Monday 24 August, a teenage girl was crossing the road at the pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Gouger Street and Victoria Square.

The girl started to cross the road when it was safe and on a green pedestrian light when she was struck by a white vehicle turning left from Gouger Street onto Victoria Square.

The impact knocked her to the ground and she sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the car, believed to be a Pajero Sport SUV, stopped for a small period of time but allegedly left the scene without rendering assistance or exchanging their details.

Police have obtained CCTV footage of the vehicle but are yet to identify the driver.

Police would like to hear from anyone who recognises the vehicle and knows the identity of the driver involved.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or on 1800 333 000 and quote #223186.
