Pair arrested after Flinders Park break-in

A man and woman have been arrested over a break-in at Flinders Park overnight.

Between 12.50am and 1.30am this morning (Wednesday 17 September), a premises on Holbrooks Road was broken into and a number of items were stolen including a backpack, laptop and iPad.

The victim immediately called police and was able to provide officers with information on the location of the items through their tracking systems.

The stolen items were tracked to Vinrace Street in the CBD where officers found a woman waiting in a vehicle.

Police searched the vehicle and located several items believed to be stolen from the Flinders Park break-in.

Following investigations, a nearby home was also searched and a backpack containing further stolen items was found. The woman and a man from the home were subsequently arrested.

A 46-year-old woman from Moonta and a 58-year-old man from Maitland were both charged with serious criminal trespass and theft. The woman was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 29 October while the man was refused bail and will appear in court today.
