High range drink driver caught in Parafield Gardens

A man has lost his licence and car after he was caught drink driving this morning.

About 12.20am today Wednesday 17 September, police saw a Honda sedan travelling on the Salisbury Highway without its lights on.

Police stopped the car and submitted the driver a 30-year-old man from Parafield Gardens to a breath test.

It will be alleged he returned a positive result of 0.257 – more than five times the legal limit.

The driver was reported for drink driving, contravene a condition of probationary licence, issued a 12-month instant loss of licence notice and his car has been impounded for 28 days.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
