Pair arrested after CBD theft

Just after 3pm on Monday 28 September, police were called to a bicycle shop on Halifax Street after four men allegedly attempted to steal items from the store.

A staff member was assaulted when they attempted to stop one of the suspects from leaving and sustained minor injuries.

Patrols attended the scene, locating and arresting a 38-year-old Edwardstown man. He was charged with theft and breaching a bail agreement.

After further enquiries, a 22-year-old man from Valley View was arrested and charged with theft, aggravated assault and drug possession.

Both men had their bail refused and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Investigations continue to locate the others involved.
