Four-car crash in Adelaide

A woman has been taken to hospital after a four-car crash in the CBD.

Just after 8pm today (Thursday 11 April), police and emergency services were called to Pirie Street after reports of a crash involving four cars, one of which ended up colliding with a fire hydrant.

A female driver from one of the cars was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of a Toyota Hilux, a 48-year-old Firle man underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.213.

He was reported for drink-driving, his car was impounded for 28 days and he was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
