A man has been arrested for allegedly attempting to bribe a prison guard earlier this year.
In February, police will allege a man entered the Adelaide Remand Centre, Currie Street, Adelaide, and offered a Corrections Officer money to help smuggle contraband into the prison.
Police state the bribe was not accepted by the officer, and that prison officials are assisting police with their investigation.
On Thursday 22 May, Detectives from Anti-Corruption Section arrested a 20-year old Parafield Gardens man and charged him with bribing a public officer to do an act or make omission.
The man was refused bail and is expected to appear in Port Augusta Magistrates Court today.
