These activities can be led by motivated community members or or organised through community groups such as Neighbourhood Watch.

Community connections can be built through activities that bring community members together. Neighbours who attend events get to know each other and look out for each other.

Neighbourhoods and towns where this occurs are called ‘connected communities’.
