Prohibited weapons

EXAMPLES OF SOME PROHIBITED WEAPONS 

 CATAPULT

       Catapult-  Commonly known as a catapult, slingshot or shanghai which is designed or                          adapted for use with a brace. Can be made for commercial distribution or                          otherwise. Includes a Saunders Falcon Hunting Sling.

 CONCEALED WEAPONS

     Walking-Stick-Dagger  - A weapon which appears to be a walking stick. The handle unscrews and reveals a                         dagger.

       Baton-Knife        - This is a baton which when unscrewed reveals a long bladed knife. 

 Walking_Stick_Longblade_Dagger - A walking cane which conceals a long bladed dagger.

  Pen_Knife- This is a knife which is disguised as a pen and when opened reveals a butterfly                          knife.


   LipStick Knife     - A knife concealed in a lipstick applicator.

 EXTENDABLE BATON

     Extendable Baton   - This is a baton which is concealed but can be extended in length.

 FIGHTING KNIFES

  Butterfly_Knife    - This is a knife designed to be opened by the use of gravity or centrifugal force.

 Butterfly_knife2     - This is a pen which opens as a butterfly knife.

       Dagger            - Sharp pointed stabbing weapon which has a flat blade with cutting edges on both                          sides.

     Dagger-Serrated        - This is a dagger with a serrated edge.

       Dagger-Example         - An example of a dagger.

       Dagger-Split           - This is a dagger with a split blade.

  Flick-knife-Pistol       - An example of a small imitation pistol on a key ring which opens as a flick knife.

     Flick-Knife-Std           - An example of a conventional flick knife that opens by the pushing of a button on                           the side of the handle.

     Flick-Knife-Pen           - A pen which contains a flick knife. This could also be considered a concealed                           weapon.

  Flick-Knife-Buckle       - An example of a push knife which is attached to form part of a belt buckle .

    Flick-Knife-Hand          - This is a knife which has a transverse handle and is designed to be held between                           the fingers or forefinger and thumb with the handle supported in the palm of the                           hand. It will inflict injury by a punching or pushing motion.

    Flick-Knife-Knuckle          - A knife which is designed to be used as a knuckle duster when held in a closed                           fist.

    Flick-Knife-Knuckle2           - As above .

 HAND OR FOOT CLAWS

 Hand-spike- These are hand spikes which are used in martial arts.


  Foot_Spikes       - Foot spikes used in martial arts.


     Hand-Claw   - A hand claw which is commercially available and utilised in martial arts.

    Hand-Spikes2- Hand spikes used in martial arts.

 MORNING STAR

 Morning-Star       - Commonly called a mace. A weapon, which has a ball or weight with or without                              spikes or blades attached to a chain, rope or other flexible material.

 NUCKLE DUSTER

 Knuckle_Duster  - A device adapted to be worn across the knuckles so as to increase the effect of a                              punch or blow.

 NUNCHAKAS

 Nanchakas       - Standard nunchakas which are used in Martial arts. Can be joined by a chain rope                              or other flexible material.

 Nunchakas_2       - Another version of a standard nunchakas which are used in Martial arts. Can be                              joined by a chain rope or other flexible material.

 PISTOL CROSS BOW

 Pistol_Crossbow      - A cross bow which is designed or adapted for use in one hand.

 STAR KNIFE

 Star-Knife    - Several blades or spikes designed to spin around a central axis and when thrown                           can cause serious injury.

 Star-Knife2    - A star knife as previously described.

 THROWING KNIFE

 Throwing-Knife    - A knife designed for throwing

 UNDETECTABLE KNIFE

 Undetectable_Knife        - An example of a knife made of plastic matrerial and concealed as a hair brush. The                           knife would not  be able to be detected when going through a metal detector.                           Could also be made of materials such  as porcelain or kevlar.

LASER POINTER
 Undetectable_Knife        - An example of a hand held device commonly known as a laser pointer designed or adapted to emit a laser beam greater than 1 mW.

EXAMPLES OF SOME DANGEROUS ARTICLES

  BAYONET

 Bayonet2- Standard military style bayonet.

 BLOW GUN

 Blow-Gun- A device described as a blow pipe or blowgun which is designed to propel a dart by air                       expelled from the mouth.

CROSSBOW

                  - All crossbows.



SELF PROTECTING SPRAY

 Capsicum-Spray- Example of capsicum spray.

 SELF PROTECTION DEVICE

 Stun-Gun- This is a stun device which emits an electric shock similar to a cattle prodder.
