Trespassers on vacant property in West Croydon

Two men have been arrested on a vacant property in West Croydon.

Just before 4am on Friday 24 July, police were called to a vacant premises on Chenoweth Avenue at West Croydon following reports two suspects were seen inside the property.

Western District patrols were quick to the scene and set-up cordons with PD Enzo called in to assist.

Shortly after, two men were located in the rear yard where they were arrested without incident.

It will be alleged the men were in the process of cutting copper piping with breaking tools located following a search.

Both men were charged with being unlawfully on premises and going equipped.

The 37-year-old man from Hectorville was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday 4 September. The 29-year-old man from Salisbury was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today (Friday 24 July.
