Fatal crash at Lower Light

A man has died following a crash at Lower Light last night.

About 8.30pm on Monday 15 June, police and emergency services were called to Port Wakefield Highway after reports a Mazda sedan collided head on with a truck.

The driver of the sedan, a 78-year-old man from Wallaroo, sadly died at the scene.

The truck driver was not injured.

The Port Wakefield Highway was closed for several hours however re-opened about 2.30am this morning.

Major crash investigators attended the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
