Fatal crash at Daveyston

About 8.25am on Tuesday 1 September, police and emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway at Daveyston in the Barossa Valley after a crash involving a Toyota hatchback and a Suzuki SUV.

Sadly, the driver of the Suzuki, a 29-year-old woman from Wallaroo, died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, a 32-year-old woman from Kilkenny, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being flown to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.

The woman's death is the 76th life lost on South Australian roads this year.
