Drink-driver crashes at Stonyfell

A man has been reported for drink driving after crashing his car into a tree at Stonyfell in the early hours this morning.

About 12.10am on Monday 29 June, police were called to Heatherbank Terrace after reports of a Hyundai sedan colliding with a tree.

The driver, a 26-year-old Windsor Gardens man, was tested and provided a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.236 - more than four times the legal limit.

He was reported for drink driving and aggravated driving without due care and issued with an 12-month immediate loss of licence notice.

His vehicle was towed from the scene.
