Drink driver caught at Seaview Downs

A drink driver was reported after being pulled over by police at Seaview Downs overnight.

Police spotted the vehicle swerving within the lane on Majors Road, Seaview Downs about 11.30pm on Saturday 15 August and pulled the car over.

The driver, a 36-year-old Seaview Downs man, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.214 - more than four times the legal limit.

He was issued with a 12-month instant loss of licence, and his car was impounded for 28 days.

He was reported for drink drinking and will be summonsed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court at a later date.
