05 Sep 2026 12:29pm

A man has been arrested after a pursuit in the southern suburbs.

About 7.15am today (Saturday 5 September), police detected a Holden Barina speeding on the Southern Expressway travelling at 115km/h in a 100km/h zone.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle as it headed southbound but it refused to stop, reaching the Sherriffs Road intersection at Reynella before doing a U-turn and heading northbound on the Expressway.

The Holden was tracked to Marion Road at Sturt and through the southern suburbs, before stopping in Seawynd Court at Seacliff Park where the driver stopped and was arrested.

The 32-year-old Munno Para man was charged with driving dangerously to escape a police pursuit and exceeding the speed limit.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 24 September.
