Man arrested after Brighton Assault

Just before 8am, Sunday 14 June, police and paramedics were called to a home on Commercial Road after reports of an assault.

A 62-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Investigations are continuing and Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene. Police believe the victim and suspect are known to each other.

Shortly after, a 53-year-old man from Adelaide was arrested and charged with assault cause harm.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday 15 June.
