Murray Bridge Crime Prevention Section joins Welcoming Week celebrations.

On Tuesday 15 September, members of the Murray Bridge Crime Prevention Section were delighted to join the Murraylands Migrant Resource Centre for a welcoming and engaging morning tea in celebration of Welcoming Week 2026.

Officers had the opportunity to speak with more than 30 new residents about the importance safer connected communities and the vital role SAPOL plays in fostering an inclusive South Australia where people from all cultures and nationalities feel welcomed and supported.

Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that celebrates communities committed to creating welcoming environments for everyone, including migrants, refugees, people seeking asylum and international students.

This year's theme, "Belonging Is Everyone's Business," highlights the role each of us plays in creating communities where everyone feels valued, connected and able to thrive.
