Appeal for information after Elizabeth Grove e-scooter robbery

Police and paramedics were called to Harvey Road, Elizabeth Grove just before 1pm on Sunday 16 August, following reports that a man had been pushed from his e-scooter and was lying unconscious on the roadway.

The victim, a 55-year-old Woodcroft man, was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. He sustained serious but non-life-threatening head injuries after striking his head on the ground and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Witnesses reported seeing a man, believed to be in his 20s, with a dark complexion and curly black hair, dressed in black clothing, ride away on the stolen e-scooter. He was last seen travelling south on Harvey Road towards Fairfield Road.

Investigations are continuing.

Detectives have released images of the stolen e-scooter and urge anyone who sees the scooter, or anyone in possession of it, to contact police immediately on 131 444.
