Witness sought following Paralowie child abduction

12 Oct 2026 10:32am

Police are seeking to identify a witness as investigations continue into the alleged abduction of a child at Paralowie.

Just before 7.30pm on Monday 5 October, a couple and their young child were walking along Niven Drive when a man allegedly attempted to abduct the child. It is alleged he picked the girl up and carried her a short distance before putting her down.

The man was last seen on Marvin Way.

As a result of investigations, Northern District detectives arrested an 18-year-old Paralowie man on Tuesday 6 October.

He was charged with abduction of a child and refused police bail. He appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 7 October.

Investigators are now hoping to speak with a woman who witnessed the incident and assisted the victim and her family immediately afterwards.
