Two arrested after robbery in Adelaide

About 3.25am today (Saturday 5 September), police were called to Sturt Street after reports that a man’s bag containing cash and Airpods was stolen by a man and woman.

The man threatened the victim with a knife before fleeing the scene.

The victim was not injured.

Police examined CCTV footage and tracked the suspects to the intersection of Hindley and Morphett Street where they were arrested about 15 minutes after the robbery.

A 34-year-old Adelaide man and a 37-year-old Mitchell Park woman were charged with aggravated robbery.

The man was refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday, while the woman was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
