Man charged over Rostrevor shooting incident

Police will allege that about 2.50am on 26 February 2026, a firearm was discharged at a residential property in Rostrevor while occupants were inside the home.  Damage was caused to the front of the property and interior loungeroom area. No physical injuries were reported.

Following extensive investigations, Operation Endurance detectives (from SAPOL's Serious and Organised Crime Branch) arrested a 21-year-old Christies Beach man in connection with the incident. The man has been charged with aggravated acts to endanger life and discharge a firearm to injure, annoy or frighten a person.

Police will further allege the shooting is linked to a series of offending that resulted in three arrests for arson, aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft and illegal use of a motor vehicle, earlier this year.

The accused remains remanded in custody and will appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court this afternoon, Friday 25 September.

Investigations remain ongoing. Operation Endurance detectives are continuing to investigate serious incidents that occurred across metropolitan Adelaide during January, February and March 2026 and are seeking assistance from the public.
