Driver reported following level crossing crash at Dudley Park

Just after 8pm on Tuesday 22 September, a Ford ute drove around active boom gates and onto the Pym Street level crossing, where it was struck by a train.

The driver left the scene following the collision.

Fortunately, no one was injured and there were no passengers on board the train.

Following investigations by Traffic Services Branch, a 39-year-old Renown Park man was identified and reported for driving in a manner dangerous and disobeying a rail signal.

He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence, his vehicle was impounded for 28 days

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
