Three youths have been arrested in a stolen car in the north of the state today.
Just before 11.30am on Sunday 21 September, police received information about a stolen Suzuki Swift travelling south on the Augusta Highway outside Port Augusta. It was reported stolen overnight from an Oakden address.
A short time later, police spotted the stolen car at Port Germein and heading into Port Pirie. The vehicle was tracked from a distance as it continued south on the Spencer Highway and then back on to the Augusta Highway.
PolAir took over observations of the Suzuki as it approached Lochiel and the vehicle stopped shortly after.
Three occupants in the car, two 16-year-old boys from Mawson Lakes and Elizabeth South and a 13-year-old Port Augusta girl were subsequently arrested without incident and charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle and other offences, while the Mawson Lakes boy was charged with driving unlicenced.
All three were bailed to appear in court at a later date.
