Hiker found at Mount Remarkable

Emergency services had launched a search for the missing woman at Mount Remarkable in the State's Mid North.

The alarm was raised about 9.15pm last night, Tuesday 1 September, when the woman did not return from a hike.

PolAir was dispatched to the area to commence searching overnight.  Emergency services were deployed to undertake ground searches along the trails for the missing woman.

Further resources, including police patrols, Mounted Operations, National Parks and Wildlife, SES volunteers, gathered at Mount Remarkable this morning to recommence searching.

The woman was found about 10am on Wednesday 2 September.  She was uninjured and did not require medical treatment.

Police thank the other emergency services and volunteers for their efforts and assistance.
