Drink driver stopped in Port Pirie

Just after midnight on Monday 15 June, police stopped a driver of a Mitsubishi sedan on Balmoral Road, Port Pirie, for a driver test.

It will be alleged that the 44-year-old Port Pirie woman returned a positive result of 0.075.

Checks on the woman’s drivers licence showed she had having previously been dealt with for a drink driving offence.

She was reported for drink driving, had her car impounded for 28-days and will be summonsed to appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court at a later date.
