Two men arrested for drug trafficking at Manningham

Two men have been arrested after significant quantities of drugs, cash and drug manufacturing equipment were located at a Manningham property.

As part of an investigation, Western District Volume Crime Section detectives attended a home on Monday 24 August.

Police searched the property and allegedly located approximately 440 grams of methamphetamine, 87 grams of MDMA, 36 grams of ketamine, 750 grams of magic mushrooms and over $30,000 in cash.

Investigators also located chemicals and equipment consistent with the manufacture of illicit drugs.

The men, a 47-year-old and 50-year-old from the address were arrested and charged with multiple drug trafficking offences. The 50-year-old was also charged with money laundering.

Serious and Organised Crime Branch officers and Western District investigators conducted a further search of the property, allegedly locating an additional 600 grams of methamphetamine, 157 Suboxone films, along with further precursor chemicals and equipment used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Both men appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday 25 August and both were remanded in custody (CO2600035945).

Investigations are continuing.
