Suspicious car fire at Torrensville

Just after midnight Wednesday 30 April, police were called to a Stephens Avenue, Torrensville property after reports that a car was on fire in a driveway. Patrols arrived on scene to find the car fully engulfed in flames, taking swift action to contain the fire with extinguishers until firefighters arrived on scene. The fire was extinguished however the vehicle was extensively damaged.

Western District crime scene investigators attended the scene with initial investigations indicating that the fire was deliberately lit.
