Police have uncovered drugs and suspected stolen property at a warehouse at Wingfield yesterday.

About 7.45am on Sunday 21 September, a Heavy Vehicle Enforcement Unit patrol stopped a Hino truck for drug and alcohol testing on Princes Street, Wingfield.

Checks on the driver, a 35-year-old man from Wingfield, showed that he was disqualified from driving. He also returned a positive result to methamphetamine after being submitted to a drug test.

Officers examined the truck and found it was carrying vehicle parts suspected of being stolen.

A subsequent search was carried out at a nearby industrial warehouse where police located about 2 grams of methamphetamine, about 350 grams of cannabis, $9000 in cash and a significant quantity of power tools suspected of being stolen.

The man was arrested and charged with driving while disqualified, drug driving, two counts of drug trafficking, money laundering and theft. The man was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 9 December.

Police believe the power tools may have been stolen from building sites and vehicles around Adelaide. Images of some of the property is included below.

Anyone who recognises the pictured items are asked to come forward and contact police.
