A man has been arrested after allegedly robbing a Thebarton service station late last night.

Just before 10pm on Tuesday 29 April, patrols were called to Port Road at Thebarton after reports of a robbery.  The man threatened the staff member before stealing the till and leaving the area on foot.

The staff member provided a description of the suspects and advised no weapon was sighted.

Patrols cordoned off the area and PD Chaos was called into assist with the search.

About 45 minutes later, PD Chaos tracked a scent to an industrial area on Smith Street, where she located the stolen, unopened till.  She continued tracking through the area and located the suspect nearby on George Street, and he was arrested without incident.

A 24-year-old man from Torrensville was charged with robbery, he was refused police bail and will appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 30 April).
