An e-bike rider was arrested, and his bike was impounded at West Bech last night.
Just before 7.30pm on Friday 18 September, Western District patrols spotted an e-bike travelling at speed on Military Road at Semaphore Park.
Patrols attempted to stop the rider but they refused and continued riding through the back streets of the western suburbs.
PolAir was quickly overhead and tracked the rider from Semaphore to West Beach where he dumped his e-bike on the beach.
Western District patrols moved in and located the rider before he was able to flee, arresting the 14-year-old without incident.
The Marryatville boy was charged with a number of traffic offences including driving at a dangerous speed and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle. He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Court on 12 November.
