A man has been arrested after an assault uncovered drugs and weapons at a Dry Creek house.
About 11am, Sunday 17 August police were called to a house on Ena Street, Croydon Park after reports that a person had gained entry to the premises and assaulted the occupant with a metal pole.
Police were quickly in attendance and assisted the victim, who had received minor injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect, 64-year-old Dry Creek man handed himself in to Police and was arrested later on the same day. It will be alleged that the suspect and victim were known to each other.
On Monday 18 August, Western District police, along with Serious and Organised Crime attended a house in Dry Creek where they conducted a search. During the search police located a clan lab, suspected of manufacturing cannabis oil, gel blasters, dried cannabis, cannabis plants, firearm parts, a crossbow, slingshot, machetes and hydroponic equipment. A metal pole, suspected to be that used in the assault was also located and seized.
The suspect was charged with serious criminal trespass, assault, theft, cultivate cannabis, traffic in a controlled drug, possess firearm without a licence and breach of bail. He was remanded and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 19 September.
