Whyalla woman caught drink driving

A drink driver was caught speeding by Whyalla Police on Friday evening.

About 11pm on Friday 24 July, police detected a Mazda sedan travelling at 69 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Broadbent Terrace, Whyalla Norrie.

Police stopped the vehicle and the driver, a 49-year-old Whyalla woman, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.085.

She was reported for speeding and drink driving and will be summonsed to appear in the Whyalla Magistrates Court at a later date.

Her vehicle was impounded for 28 days and she was issued with a six-month instant loss of licence.
