Speeder caught in Mawson Lakes

A youth has lost his licence after he was caught speeding in Mawson Lakes last night.
About 10pm on Tuesday 21 October, police were conducting speed detection duties on Elder Smith Road when they detected a Toyota hatch travelling at 117km/h in a signed 70km/h zone.
The driver a 17-year-old boy from Mawson Lakes was issued a six-month instant loss of licence notice and issued a $2605.00 expiation notice for driving at an excessive speed and provisional driver exceed the speed limit.
