Southern suburbs drink driver loses his car and license

Just before midnight, Tuesday 13 May, police received reports of a Land Rover swerving in and out of its lane on South Road, Melrose Park. Southern District patrols attended the area, stopping the car nearby.

The driver, a 23-year-old man from Walkerville, underwent a breath test, returning a positive result of 0.190. The man was reported for drink driving and will be summonsed to court later in the year. The driver's car was impounded for 28 days, and his license was disqualified on the spot for 12 months.
