Southern suburbs drink driver

11 May 2025 6:35am

A high range drink driver has been caught in the southern suburbs last night.

About 9.30pm on Saturday 10 May, police spotted a white Ford Falcon sedan travelling without headlights on Wheatsheaf Road at Morphett Vale.

Patrols stopped the car and spoke to the driver, a 35-year-old man from O’Halloran Hill.  He submitted to a breath test where he provided a positive result of 0.203 – more than four times over the legal limit.

The man was reported for drink driving, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving at night without effective lights.  He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence and his car was impounded for 28 days.  The man will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
