Police are investigating a serious crash at Port Augusta West early this morning.
About 2.45am on Monday 8 June, a 14-year-old boy presented at the local hospital with injuries consistent with being involved in a car crash.
Just after 6am, police located a burnt out vehicle with significant accident damage on Caroona Road. Police believe the vehicle may be linked to the injured teen.
The boy's injuries are considered to be life threatening, and he has since been flown to Adelaide for treatment.
Major Crash Officers were notified of the incident and have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
