Drunk driver crashes at Ridgehaven

14 Jun 2026 5:09pm

A drink driver will face court after crashing into an SUV at Ridgehaven this afternoon.

Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Hancock Road and Milne Road just before 1pm on Sunday 14 June, following reports a Ford ute had collided with the rear of a Hyundai SUV.

Neither driver nor any passengers were physically injured.

The driver of the Ford, a 33-year-old Fairview Park man, underwent a breath test and allegedly returned a reading of 0.314 — more than six times the legal limit.

He was reported for drink driving, aggravated driving without due care and driving while disqualified, and issued with a further 12-month instant loss of licence.

The ute was towed from the scene and impounded for 28 days.
