Driver and passengers fined for not wearing seatbelts.
About 11pm on Friday 9 October police stopped a Holden station wagon on Carlisle Street for the purpose of driver test.
Police will allege when they approached the car they spotted a total of five passengers on the rear passenger seat. Police will further allege that the five passengers were not wearing seatbelts.
Police issued fines to each of the rear seat passengers aged between 17 and 18, for failing to wear a seat belt, which incurs three demerit points on their provisional drivers licence.
The driver an 18-year-old man from West Lakes Shore was issued a fine for allowing more than two passengers not to wear a seat belt.
The driver, who was already on a Safe Driver Agreement and incurred 5 demerit points.
