A drink driver has been reported after crashing into two parked cars at Brompton early this morning.

Just before 5am on Sunday 23 August, police were called to Hawker Street, Brompton, following reports a Toyota ute had left the road and collided with two parked cars on Fourth Place.

Patrols were quick to the scene and located the driver, who had attempted to leave the area but was found hiding in nearby bushes.

The driver, a 21-year-old man from Mylor, was breath tested and recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.174, more than three times the legal limit.

There were no reports of any physical injuries.

He was reported for drink driving, issued with an immediate 12-month loss of licence and had his Toyota impounded.

He will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
