Drink driver crashes at Mclaren Vale

A man has lost his license and car after crashing into a fence yesterday.

Just before 5.30pm on Monday 31 August, police were called to a crash involving a Ford ute and a fence at the intersection of Main Road and Valley View Drive, Mclaren Vale.

The driver, a 56-year-old local man was driver tested and provided a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.238 – almost five times the legal limit.

He was reported for drink driving, issued a 12-month immediate loss of license notice and the car was impounded for 28-days.

He will be summonsed to attend court at a later date.
