Drink driver caught over the limit in Port Pirie

Just after 6pm on Saturday 12 September, Port Pirie patrols stopped a grey Mitsubishi SUV on Fifth Street at Port Pirie and directed the driver to a breath test.

The driver, a 65-year-old local man allegedly returned a positive result of 0.129 nearly 3 times the limit.

He was reported for drink driving, issued a 6-month loss of licence and his car impounded for 28-days.

He will be summonsed to appear in the Magistrates Court at a later date.
