Drink driver caught on three wheels

Just before 2am this morning (Thursday 21 August), police were called to North Adelaide near Robe Terrace after reports of a white Kia sedan driving on three wheels.

Police were able to locate and track the vehicle on traffic cameras to Main North Road Enfield, where it stopped.

The female driver of the Kia, a 24-year-old woman from Smithfield underwent a breath test, returning a positive result of 0.116.

The woman was reported for drink driving. She was issued with a 6-month immediate loss of licence notice and had her car impounded for 28 days.

Police are investigating whether the vehicle had earlier collided with a traffic light at the corner of Jeffcott Street and Ward Street which may have caused the damage to the vehicle.

She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
